Sea salt in a toothpaste makes sense. Because salt stimulates the flow of saliva. The teeth, bathed in abundant saliva, are gently cleaned. The Weleda Sole toothpaste supports and strengthens the physiological process of self-cleaning.

Weleda Sole toothpaste does not contain fluoride. The solid, easily soluble cleaning body made of sodium bicarbonate removes plaque, thereby preventing tooth decay. In addition, the acids that are harmful to tooth enamel are neutralized, which protects against the formation of tartar in the long term.

Sea salt also helps because it enters into an exchange with the surface of the gums (osmosis) and thereby strengthens them.

The ratanhia root extract often used in Weleda dental care supports this effect together with plant extracts of myrrh and chestnut bark as well as aesculin. This prevents irritation of the gums. But the plant extracts of myrrh, chestnut bark and esculin also support the strengthening of the gums. The sea salt taste is harmoniously rounded off by the natural essential oil of peppermint.
