Scientifically known as Centella asiatica is an Ayurvedic herbal powder of the pennywort herb. It is also known as jalbramhi or Indian pennywort. Mandukaparni has been used in India for thousands of years and is mentioned in the historical text 'Sushruta Samhita' mentioned.
The plant is found throughout India and is grown in tropical and subtropical countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, South Africa, Madagascar, South Pacific and also in Eastern Europe. Mandukaparni has a very long history and is also used in traditional Chinese medicine.
