Fennel is very effective for children and adults alike. Fennel can be used well for children as it is particularly suitable because of its mild effect. The doshas Vata and Pitta are reduced by fennel, as fennel also has cooling, oily properties. The digestive fire (Agni) is strengthened at the same time.

As an Ayurveda cook, I use fennel several times a week in chutneys, flatbreads, pickles, curries, legume dishes, potato dishes or the classic vegetable stew because it has a sweet taste. The dishes are easier to digest with fennel and, as already described, are also very suitable for children.
