Your organic specialist company for Ayurveda and other natural products based in Switzerland
My name is Marcel Rohmer and I am the manager of the Ayurveda Paradise. During my stay in India, I was looking for a company that could harvest, naturally process and deliver pure Shilajit from the Indian Himalayas at altitudes of 4500 meters and above. It was particularly important to me that this is processed exclusively in capsule form without additives, chemical substances or dyes.
The raw material (black resin), which comes from the rocks of the Himalayas, is produced by us, Therapists and our customers judged it to be inedible because it tastes very bitter and has an unpleasant smell.
Therefore, in cooperation with a renowned, ISO-certified company we have developed the black resin dried and processed in the form of vegetarian capsules.
Our Mumijo Shilajit corresponds to the Ayurvedic traditions and offers an impressive fulvic acid and humic acid content of 91%.
It is also characterized by a high proportion of minerals and trace elements in ionic and organic form, including magnesium, phosphorus and iron, as well as a variety of vitamins such as A, E, B1, B2, B3 , B6, B12 and C. This product is suitable for all people and is particularly beneficial for athletes and helps support general well-being.
On the expert website “Center of Health - Mumijo Shilait” you will find extensive information about Mumijo Shilajit.
In Ayurveda, Shilajit is used for a variety of ailments, especially chronic diseases. This light brown to black-brown exudate emerges from sedimentary rocks, especially in the Himalayas, and has established itself as an important element of the traditional Ayurvedic materia medica. To this day, Ayurvedic doctors often use Shilajit to relieve various ailments.
Already in the early Ayurvedic writings, documented in the Charaka Samhita, Shilajit is described as a natural solution for numerous diseases. It is also referred to as Rasayana, i.e. rejuvenator, which promises an extended lifespan.
The composition of Shilajit includes rock humus, minerals and organic substances formed by the pressure of rock layers mixed with marine organisms and microbial metabolites.
A clinical study of purified Shilajit has shown that this compound promotes significant spermatogenesis in healthy volunteers. Interestingly, high-performance liquid chromatography analysis revealed that purified shilajit contains the chemical component dibenzo-α-pyrone, which can stimulate human spermatogenesis. This is evidenced by a significant increase in the hormones testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone.
Shilajit is a naturally occurring mineral that consists of several components and is mainly found in the Ayurvedic and Siddhic medical systems are used in India. Its origin lies in the high mountain regions, where the peoples living there first recognized the beneficial effects of this mineral. In Ayurveda and Siddha literature, Shilajit is aptly referred to as “Rasayana” or “Rasayanam”, which means “rejuvenator”. This name makes it clear that Shilajit not only has a preventive effect against complaints, but can also sustainably improve the quality of life.
Humic acid is a solid substance that is completely soluble in water. Compared to fulvic acid, humic acid is characterized by the fact that it is bound to minerals and metals. Numerous scientific studies have examined the effects of humic acid on animals. Significant effects can be seen after just two weeks of use.
Fulvic acid is an extremely small molecule that is soluble in water. Pure fulvic acid is unbound, meaning it contains no minerals or metals. Because of this lack of binding, fulvic acid acts as an excellent transport agent for minerals, vitamins as well as trace elements and metals. It has the ability to absorb nutrients and release them into the cells. At the same time, fulvic acid binds heavy metals and supports their excretion from the body.

Shilajit has a fascinating history, deeply rooted in Hindu literature and ancient Ayurveda . In ancient India, there lived a king named Chandra Verma, who ruled most of northern India. During his youth, he spent most of his time conquering land, waging wars, and protecting his kingdom from enemies.
However, at the age of 60, Chandra Verma realized that although peace and contentment reigned in his region, he had lost his youthfulness . All his wealth and power could no longer provide him with life's natural pleasures. For this reason, he moved to the Himalayan region to do penance and prayed to Lord Shiva to regain his youthfulness. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Shiva offered him a substance said to be Shilajit .
Interestingly, it is believed that Lord Buddha, once known as Prince Siddhartha and hailing from a royal family, may also have been a descendant of King Chandra Verma. In the world-famous text "The Kama Sutra," Shilajit is described extensively as a powerful aphrodisiac and youth-restoring agent.
In modern history, shilajit was first discovered in the 1870s by British explorer Sir Martin Edward Stanley, while India and Nepal were part of the British Empire. He noticed that many of the monkeys in the plains of northern India were bald by the age of ten, while those in the Himalayan mountains showed little sign of aging. Stanley discovered that these monkeys consumed a black mineral pitch that oozed from the rocks and hypothesized that this was the reason for their youthfulness.
This strange behavior caught his attention, as the monkeys didn't normally eat earth. The locals called this mineral "silajitu." Only Indian yogis knew the purifying technique of "silajitu" and offered it to select individuals. It is said that the Persian emperors Darius and Xerxes learned about shilajit from Indian yogis and not only distributed it to their elite troops but also consumed it themselves.
Flexibility of the original Shilajit
Original Shilajit exhibits remarkable flexibility to the touch, melting and becoming sticky in your hands. However, if you refrigerate it to cool, it will become very hard and could shatter, much like glass would if hit with a hammer. Be sure to wrap it in a plastic bag beforehand to avoid a potential mess and prevent the loss of your valuable supplement.
Pure shilajit always retains its shape and doesn't clump. It adapts to the ambient temperature, which is a sign of its high quality. Be wary of resins that are very hard upon receipt, comparable to brittle stone, or that don't respond appropriately to heat. This should be considered a warning sign, as it indicates that the resin may have been poorly processed or is a counterfeit product containing fillers.
Solubility of Shilajit
Shilajit dissolves completely in warm water or milk, producing a golden or reddish liquid. If any residue remains, this is a clear sign of possible contamination. To test the solubility of shilajit, take the shilajit resin and add it to a glass of water. Watch as small particles dissolve in the water, forming thread-like structures. Shilajit usually takes about five minutes to fully dissolve. After this time, the water color changes to a black-golden hue, indicating the purity of the shilajit. When consuming dissolved shilajit, it is recommended to drink slowly, gently rubbing your tongue against the roof of your mouth. A grainy or sandy texture indicates a high content of insoluble particles, which may indicate low-quality or counterfeit shilajit or additives. In addition, an unpleasant sour taste may indicate the use of acidulants, which are used to modify inferior shilajit to meet minimum requirements.
FLAME
It won't ignite or burn like a candle. Heat shilajit with a mini blowtorch. It will bubble without producing smoke, particles, or ash. However, it won't burn.
