Asokarishtam (also called Ashokarishta) is an Ayurvedic dietary supplement and herbal tonic and acts as a rejuvenating and nourishing uterine tone for womenthat to treat everyone gynecological disorders and female reproductive and health problems. According to the ancient Ayurvedic scriptures SANSKRIT, the herbal name "Asoka" means to be physically and mentally free from pain and agony, which reflects the wonderful and natural effectiveness of this tonic.

The Ashokarishta tonic is used in Ayurvedic medicine in women to treat the complaints that every woman goes through in the course of her life.

Ashoka Bark. Botanical name: Saraca indica: has a stimulating effect on the lining of the uterus and the tissues of the ovaries. This reduces Kapha and Vata. A rejuvenating plant of female sex hormones.

Dhataki. Botanical name: Woodfordia fruticosa
Dhataki or Dhawai is also known as Bahupuspika in Ayurveda. In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, Dhataki is highly praised for its kashaya (astringent) properties and especially for female disorders such as menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding) and leucorrhea (white discharge from the vagina). Dhataki balances kapha and can also be helpful in the treatment of asthma as it removes excess mucus from the airways, making breathing easier. Dhataki is also recommended for acne, pimples, blemished skin, etc. and can support wound healing due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Bibhitaki. Botanical name: Terminalia belerica
A large deciduous medicinal tree. Bibhitaki is also part of Triphala which helps balance Kapha. In Hindi the plant is known as baheda, tanikaya in Telugu and tanri in Tamil and in Sanskrit Bibhitaki is called as Vibheeta - meaning; the one plant that destroys the fear of disease.
The fruit contains a large number of phytochemicals. The yellow colored oil obtained from the seed kernel is valued for its astringent and laxative properties. Bibhitaki gives longevity, endurance and strength.

Haritaki. Botanical name: Terminalia chebula
Hailed as the "King of Medicine", Haritaki is also a component of Triphala and is a wonderful fruit that is used extensively in a wide range of traditional Ayurvedic remedies.

Haritaki, often referred to as Chebulic myrobalan, is one of the three musketeers that make up the potent rejuvenating Triphala formulation. Traditional Ayurvedic medicine advocates the use of Haritaki due to its potent laxative, astringent, antibilious (effect on liver disease) and antioxidant properties.

Amalaki: Botanical name: Emblica officinalis
The medicinal plant in Ayurveda is known as a rich source of nutrients such as vitamin C, amino acids, pectin and antioxidant polyphenols such as tannins and gallic acid. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial effects. In Ayurvedic medicine, Amalaki is used to treat a variety of ailments such as anemia, diarrhea, inflammation, jaundice, and diabetes. Amalaki is also used for heartburn and high cholesterol.
Studies have shown that Amalaki can be helpful in treating heartburn and has been shown to successfully reduce symptoms of heartburn and regurgitation significantly.
In another study, volunteers were given 500 mg Amalaki tablets or a placebo twice a day to prevent hyperlipidemia (fats in the blood). Those who received the Amalaki extract had significantly less total cholesterol and triglycerides.
Some research has looked at the effects of amalaki on diabetes. For example, a 2012 study on diabetic rats found that blood antioxidant levels improved, free radicals limited, and the risk of complications from diabetes was reduced.
Amalaki can have antiaging properties. A study with people between the ages of 45 and 60 found that Amalaki helps maintain the length of the DNA telomeres and protect the structures at the ends of the chromosomes. As the cells divide, the telomeres tend to get shorter. The telomeres eventually become too short for the cell to divide and the cell ages instead of replicating.
The researchers concluded that Amalaki helps maintain telomeres and may promote healthy aging over time.
Vasaka. Botanical name: Adhatoda vasica
Vasaka also known as 'Malabar Nut' 'Adhathodai' 'Arusha' 'Vasa' is a potent Ayurvedic herb that improves the respiratory system. The plant is used in Ayurvedic medicine for breathing difficulties, coughs and colds, nasal congestion, sore throats, asthma, bronchitis and other infections of the upper respiratory tract.
